Girls Primary Mental Health Residential Treatment in Penngrove, CA
The Muir Wood Penngrove Treatment Program addresses the needs of girls 12 – 17 whose primary mental health diagnoses are rooted in traumatic experiences and their pervasive side effects. The Penngrove Program is specially designed to provide a safe and trauma-informed program where girls can address and process trauma under the care of highly trained experts using advanced therapies. Like all Muir Wood programs, Penngrove provides idyllic environments and comprehensive and compassionate care to address complex problems facing young people. Penngrove encompasses 32 acres of Sonoma County rolling countryside and provides a peaceful and private setting in which to heal. The program includes a learning center recognized by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a highly trained medical and clinical team including on-site psychiatry and specially trained trauma therapists.
Penngrove South Campus
Located in beautiful Penngrove Heights, Muir Wood’s Penngrove South girls primary mental health treatment campus is centrally located at the base twelve acres of rolling countryside offering views that are breathtaking from anywhere on the property. The setting offers unparalleled privacy, perfect for contemplation and healing, and recovery from mental health issues and substance use disorders. With open views north, the property offers large pastures, several large oak tree groves, and acres of space for adolescent girls and staff to meet and reflect.

Situated on seven acres at Sonoma Mountain’s base, Penngrove North boasts absolute privacy and beautiful, sweeping views of the Sonoma countryside. This picturesque working farm setting offers complete tranquility and spiritual healing with facilities including a large Yurt used for group sessions, meditation, yoga, reiki, and music therapy. Penngrove North provides a safe space for adolescent girls to work through sensitive issues, build strong relationships, and develop life skills needed to make healthy choices after treatment.

Sonoma Mountain Campus
Muir Wood’s Sonoma Mountain campus is a nine-acre property resting on an idyllic, private knoll at the base of Sonoma Mountain in Penngrove, CA. Evoking the sense of being worlds away, this serene setting offers a quintessential farmhouse with wrap-around porch, ideal for healing, contemplation, and enjoying the breathtaking pastoral and sunset views.
